Dead Warmed Tortillas

The Day of the Dead steadily grows in popularity, and the availability of products with associated imagery grows with it.  Dead Deco often showcases products featuring artwork of prominent, and obscure, Day of the Dead artists.  However, today our attention was captured by a term we had never heard before: “…specialty, contract, and prototype sewing studio.”

In our hunt for interesting Day of the Dead products to share with you, we stumbled across these products from Spoonfuls of Love, LLC.   They are a small company based in southeast Michigan, and they specialize in producing  handcrafted fabric-based items like these.

The above pictured items are tortilla warmers, and you can price or purchase them by clicking on the images.  Some of you may wonder why you would need a tortilla warmer, but trust us when we say it makes eating tortillas during home-cooked meals much more enjoyable.

As for Spoonfuls of Love, we have to wonder how this handcraft supplier was drawn to the inclusion of Day of the Dead items in their line products, and if this means that the tradition has proliferated itself across the northern part of Middle America?
